Welcome to Advanced State Biotech HUB (Assam)

         The Advanced State Biotech Hub (SBTHub), Assam is an initiative of Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India with a view to promote research and manpower development in the North-Eastern Region. It started functioning as State Biotech Hub in the year 2010 and was then upgraded to Advanced State Biotech Hub in 2015. The Hub has been set up at College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati-22. The establishment has its main focus on promotion of Biotechnology in the region by acting as the Nodal Center for a total of 65 Institutional Biotech Hubs distributed throughout the state. Providing hands-on training to students, teachers and research workers to help and encourage them to pursue study and research in frontal areas of biotechnology and modern biology is one of the mandates of the hub.

* Molecular diagnostics.
* Microbial genetics.
* Reproductive Biotechnology.
* Molecular characterization of indigenous species of animals.
