About the Salient Achievements of the Department:   Department has got star college recognition by DBT, Govt of India during 2012. Major and minor research projects from UGC, DST and NEC are ongoing and some are completed. Students of the Department have achieved brilliant results in the university examinations since the beginning of the major course. Few extension programmes in rural areas in collaboration with NGOs were carried out. Renowned alumni of this Department are in various fields.
