About the Salient Achievements of the Department:   (i) Publication of Paper: A paper entitled “Study of Trace metals (Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Cu, Cd) composition in tea available at Shillong, Meghalaya” was published by International Journal of Environmental Protection – Vol 1. No. 1 (2011), pp 13-21. (ii) Setting up of a Trace element lab: To facilitate further project work, one room was allotted and specially designed and furnished for projects relating to trace element analysis. (iii) New practicals introduced to enhance the lab skills of students. (iv) Study tours and field trips were organized regularly and the use of the portable water field testing kit was demonstrated.
