About the Salient Achievements of the Department:   Chemistry department of Moirang College was founded in 1975 with only Pre- university class and upgraded to graduate level from 1978. Dr. K. Anand Singh, HOD, got his Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in the field of Fluorescence Spectroscopy.He is co-ordinator of recently established Biotech Hub sponsored by DBT, GOI.Another faculty, Dr.O.Gobin Singh got Ph.D from NEHU, Shillong_in Physical Chemistry. A number of students who passed out from this dept. are doing jobs in reputed firms including educational institutes inside and outside Manipur. One student who offered chemistry general stood 1st position in the university examination-2010 of B Sc.
