About the Salient Achievements of the Department:    @ Preparation of value added meat products from slaughter house by-products. @ Preparation of pet food from slaughter house by-products. @ Development of pork pickle with Fermented Bamboo Shoot Extract. Application of starter culture in development of dairy and meat products. @ Development of Intermediate moisture meat products. @ Development of a Meat Spread from Spent chicken meat. Preparation of Carabeef and Beef Salamis by Incorporating Different Levels of Fat. @ Development of Dietary Fibre Enriched fermented Milk Products. @ Development of Low fat & fiber enriched meat products. Development and commercialization of organic chicken pickle. @ Development of protein enriched meat powder with indigenous herbs of Assam. @ Development of spent chicken meat pickle with extract of bamboo shoot. Recognization of the Department as “knowledge partner” by the Ministry of Food Processing Industry, GOI, New Delhi.
