About the Institution:
The Standard College, a co-educational institute is situated in Imphal East District along the Imphal - Yairipok road. The College is one of the Government aided Colleges of Manipur which was established in the year 1979. The institute was recognised by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 and has 16 Departments (Science and Arts) at present. In addition to B.A. / B. Sc. (General and Honours) courses, Career Oriented add – on courses like Computer Application, Information and Computer Technology, Medicinal Plants Studies and Fashion Designing were also introduced. Most of the teachers have undertaken Minor and Major Research Projects funded by UGC.
