About the School:   The School is a state Govt. entity under the Department of Education (S) established in 1969 as co-educational school. It is located at district headquarters, Chandel, Manipur. It was up graded to 10+2 level vide Government’s order No. 2/5/07-ES dated 08/07/2008. Its maiden academic session for both Arts and Science streams began in 2009. It caters the service of providing low cost but quality education to multi-ethnic tribes of Chandel district through dedicated 42 teachers. The subjects offered are Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Home Science, Political Science, History, Geography, Economics, Sociology and English. There are 530 students studying from class VI to XII as per the academic record of 2015-16. 202 students (XI Sc = 77, XII Sc = 125) out of 530 are offering biology as one of the elective subjects. The School Development & Management Committee (SMDC) headed by its Principal is taking care of the academic administration & Management of the school.
