About the School:
Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School is located on the hill of Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland. It is the first Government High school in Nagaland which was established in the year 1941 as Government High school. The school is a heritage school as the American Baptist Mission with an intention to open a Christian High School had purchased the land. But later it was given to the Government and the then Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Mr. Pawsey started a Government High School with Rev. Supplee as the Headmaster of the school. The school was upgraded to higher secondary in 2002 with Science, Commerce and Arts stream. The school is a composite school from classes V-XII. The school produces toppers every year in the HSLC and HSSLC examination. There are four administrators with Principal as the Head, 88 teaching faculties and 14 non-teaching faculties with high enrolment of students.
