About the School:
Agomani HS School was established in the year 1948. Some local people have great contribution and role n establishing this school. Some of them are Late Joynal Abedin SArkar, Asanullah SArkar, Pan, Paul Brothers, Dr. Modan ch Mondal and many others. The school was upgraded to higher secondary in 1977 having arts and science stream. Later on vocational stream was introduced in 1989. It is one of the biggest school of Assam having a large number of enrollments. This school playing a great role in educating the people in various fields creating political, social and cultural ways. The school is near the Indo-Bangaladesh boundary. It is surrounded by many villages. It has now three streams and more than 2400 students are studying. It is the only science and vocational H.S. School within 30 km.
