Dear Editor,

               Science is all about sharing of knowledge and BioNE serves the same. The Northeast being a rich area of flora and fauna yet neglected in various research sectors, an e- platform of this kind helps scientists and budding researchers to learn about new advances in science and technology, express their viewpoints on various topics, and thus serving as a discussion forum and thereby widen our knowledge arena. I like that apart from publishing recent research articles, news, inspiring stories on the portal, there is even a section where photography lovers can showcase their talent and post pictures reflecting the biodiversity of the northeastern region.

               Already in its 13th issue, I hope this e-journal goes a long way in helping people like me develop as researchers. And especially in times like this, when the world is facing the CoViD pandemic, this journal will serve a good companion for us.
